To implement a monitoring program and conduct three Additional Conservation Actions (ACAs) which are:
  • ACA1: To describe the Critical Habitat –qualifying species that are new to science
  • ACA2: To address over-exploitation of Critical Habitat-qualifying species
  • ACA5: To monitor biodiversity at the Busowoko- Kalagala Falls Site (BEL Biodiversity offset)
To mitigate and manage potential biodiversity impacts during the on-going operational phase of the BHPP, BEL will conduct Additional Conservation Actions (ACAs) which are:
  • ACA3: Monitor developments at the Kalagala Falls Site (KFS)
  • ACA4: Review and address the original requirements agreed between IFC and BEL at the time of the original investment, via reasonable actions within BEL’s control for Kalagala Offset Area-KOA (This includes Kalagala falls and Mabira Forest)
