ARISE PROJECT
“Adopting multi-disciplinary approaches in genetic
improvements, nutritional enhancement and
climate change adaptation for improved
production of Nile tilapia in Uganda”
Aim of the project
To breed Nile tilapia for fast growth and temperature resilience, and formulate commercially competitive and environmentally safe fish feeds for sustainable production of Nile tilapia in Uganda.
Goal of the project
To contribute to increased and sustainable aquaculture, food security, environmental protection and inclusive aquaculture growth
Project dates
1st November 2022 to 30th April 2027
About Us
