Dr. Anthony Taabu Munyaho is the Director of Research, his research takes a holistic approach to stock assessment of commercial fisheries of Africa´s inland sea, Lake Victoria. He utilizes fishery independent data collected through hydroacoustic and bottom trawl surveys, in addition to fishery dependent data. The goal of is to evaluate the impact of various forces (exploitation and environment) on spatial and temporal distribution of fish stocks
Mr. Laban Musinguzi, a fisheries scientist by training, holds a Master of Science, Zoology (Fisheries and Aquaculture) and a Bachelor of Science, Fisheries and aquaculture, both of Makerere University, Uganda. Musinguzi is currently a research scientist; fish biology and ecology at the National Fisheries Resources Research Institute in Uganda (NaFIRRI).
Dr.Winnie Nkalubo is a research scientist and a programme leader, Capture Fisheries and Biodiversity Conservation Research Programme.
Mr Mark Olokotum is a Research Officer (Fish Biologist - Stock Assessment Scientist). Currently he's a PhD student at Makerere University Institute of Environment and Natural Sciences (MUIENR). Mark holds a joint Master of Science in Environmental Sciences – Limnology & Wetland Management from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education (The Netherlands), Egerton University (Kenya) and University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences – BOKU (Austria); Master of Science in Zoology (Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences) and Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture of Makerere University.
Mr. Lugya Jessy is a Research Assistant holding a Bsc(Hons) Fisheries and Aquaculture from Makerere University Kampala. He is interested in conserving the biodiversity of Uganda's aquatic resources and cage culture. Jessy is currently working on a data mobilisation project funded by the European Union and GBIF.
Mr. Philip Rwezawula is a holder of a Bsc fisheries and aquaculture Makerere University Kampala and a diploma in fisheries management and technologies from Fisheries Training Institute Entebbe. He is a fish biology technician and taxonomist and interested in aquatic biodiversity conservation of threatened and endangered species of Ugandan water bodies with special interest in Haplochromine cichlids.
Mr. Elias Muhumuza has an MSc. Environment and Natural Resources form Makerere University Kampala Uganda, BSc. Environmental Science, Technology & Management Kampala, Uganda from Kyambogo University Kampala, National Diploma in fisheries management and technologies from Fisheries Training Institute- Entebbe Uganda
Mr. Colleb Nuwahereza has National Diploma in fisheries management and technologies from Fisheries Training Institute Entebbe, he is a research technician with special interest in cage culture
Mr. Kamya Ashraf is a Laboratory technician, He holds a diploma in science technology-biology from Kyambogo University, He has special interest in biodiversity conservation. Currently he is working on increasing capacity for conservation of threatened fish species project. He is charged with fish species identification, fish sample analysis and data mobilisation. He is also enthusiastic about mapping using open source software QGIS
Mrs Janet Naluwayiro is a lab technician with special interest in water quality (physical chemical).
Monic Nsega is a principal technician with a masters in environmental science from kyambogo university ,a bachelors of science fisheries and acquaculture, a post graduate diploma intergrated water resources management, an ordinary diploma in science technology(biological techniques), a certificate in limnological techniques, a certificate in equipment mantainance.
Vincent Kiggundu is a senior laboratory technician with an MSc in environmental science from Islamic University in Uganda, a BSc in fisheries and aquaculture from Busoga University and a Higher Diploma in Applied Biology. He also has several certificates in aquatic science with a bias in aquatic micro invertebrates
Miss Tumushabe Harriet is a research assistant holding a masters of science in climate change and disaster management from Busitema University Tororo and a BSC Agricultural Land use and Management from Makerere University Kampala.she has special interest in water quality,climate change and adaptation.

Andrew Magoola is an Accountant with a BBA (Hons) Accounting and CPA Level 3.
He has worked with NARO for over 5 years in an Accounts Assistant Position serving as an accounts representative.He is a dedicated professional with vast knowledge in Tax, Audit, Finance essentials, Microsoft Dynamics, Financial Reporting and Book keeping as required by the IFRSs and International Accounting Standards. He is an outgoing person and likes music and Movies.
Ms Sharon Kanagwa works with the accounts section as accounts assistant
He is a Principal Research Scientist at and an honorary lecturer at Makerere University. He has over 30 years of research and administrative experience in fisheries and aquatic ecosystem research. He has initiated, supervised and coordinated at least ten donor projects, published over 50 papers in refereed journals, supervised at least ten graduate students, and undertaken over 25 consultancies.
William is a Principal Research Officer and a part time lecturer at Makerere University. He holds a PhD in natural sciences. He has 14 years of research experience in water quality and lake productivity processes. He has published in international journals and has undertaken a number of consultancies.
Vianny is Research Officer with a biass in stock asssessment and ecosystem modelling. He is a PhD student. He has published in international journals.
Egessa Robert's research spans all aspects of aquatic invertebrate Biology - Thier ecology, genetics and molecular Miology.
